CUMI net profit moves up

The consolidated net profit of Carborundum Universal has risen by 60 per cent at Rs. 65.60 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2011 against Rs. 41.11 crore in the corresponding period in the previous year. Net sales have increased by 24 per cent to Rs. 505 crore from Rs. 408 crore. Earnings before interest, depreciation and amortisation has increased by 42 per cent to Rs. 120 crore from Rs. 85 crore.
